Summary of Results

The funding from MIKON was used according to plan to finance the field work of ph.d. student Rebecca Viejou with assistants in Norway in 2018. They did plant quality and quantity measuements in a range of reindeer herding districts in Norway to supplement available data from the literature. The data will be processed and used in publications in the ph.d. thesis to be submitted in 2019. In addition the funding from MIKON was used cover the hours used by Glen Liston in his work on generating dayly snow maps for Finnmark for the period 1958-2018, using the snow models used by him. This product will become available to the project and other users in first part of 2019.

Communicated Results

The results are not reached a stage suitable for communication.

Interdisciplinary Cooperation

The project is dominateded by ecologists, but the results will be presented and discussed with reindeer herders from focal reindeer herding units, and this interaction will be reported in association with the presentation of the results.
